I managed to get myself together and enter the Etsy Beadweavers Team Challenge for the month of June! (mind you I think the only reason I managed to get myself together was the fact that the theme was 'Anything Goes'!)

My entry is number 30 on the panel. Its a beautiful (even if I say so myself) bead embroidered necklace featuring a rhodocrosite cabochon, and a brass stamping in the Art Nouveau style.

I made it to 100 hearts!

I opened my shop on the 21st of February and I am pleased to say that on the 31st of May I gained my 100th heart! What a milestone!! Ocean Jasper Cuff reaches 500 views!

I feel this is some kind of milestone worth celebrating. Mind you no-one has purchased it so maybe its not worth celebrating!!! Its a beautiful cuff and I just love it. A gorgeous piece of ocean jasper surrounded by glass seed beads in bronzes, golds and creams with a few shell beads thrown in for good measure. I'm sure its just waiting for the right person to come along.

I've had a week off...

So I had a week off work to spend time with my brother and his friends who are here visiting from Canada. I was working on this piece before I left...


Its finished now, but I haven't had time to photograph it. Hopefully in the next day or two. Fingers crossed!

I was a Bridesmaid...

On the weekend I was bridesmaid at my friends wedding as she married one of my brother's best friends. The ceremony was in a beautiful stone church which is over 100 years old, and the reception was in the function room at a nearby winery. We had a fantastic day, and it wasn't nearly as stressful as I was anticipating!

Here is a photo of me and my brother. He was the groomsman, and therefore my partner in the wedding. It was a good opportunity for us both to get dressed up and have lovely photos taken together.

My Seahorse cuff made it into a Treasury!
